Click here to save a list of emergency contacts and hotlines in the country where you are:

The risk of human trafficking is real, and people in need are the most vulnerable.

To protect yourself and others who may be in need follow the next instructions to make sure you are safe.

Accept help only from official authorities and people you know!

If you are assisted by someone other than government authorities:

  • Do not hand over your identity documents to anyone, even if they ask you for a short period of time to help you where you are or with moving to another country.
  • Identity documents should only be handed over to government officials (NOT PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS).
  • Do not give your mobile phone to anyone. Make sure your mobile phone is fully charged.
  • Take a photo of your identity documents in case they are lost.
  • Have embassy and friends’ locations kept in a safe place other than your phone if you find you need help.
  • Stay in touch with others (family, acquaintances, etc.) along your route so that they know where you are.
  • If you are staying in non-governmental accommodation, ask a person or the organization that is hosting you to take you to the police station or other officials to announce your presence (don’t allow your presence to be announced by others without you to be present).
